I thought I’d better have a little word to explain the current situation. As many of you know, my eldest daughter was married last autumn and the youngest daughter very recently - 12th April. As well as my business which normally takes up 99% of my time, I found I was making wedding gowns and bridesmaid dresses and for the April wedding, I also made all the stationery (right) and even decorated the cake. So you can see how hectic things have been. Whilst I’ve loved every minute, it has been a little bit of a strain trying to juggle personal and professional commitments as there were times when I truly longed to return to my miniatures and proceed full speed to the business of running a business. Well that time has arrived and you are going to be bowled over with all the new and exciting additions coming to the cottage. I can also at last finish the Tussie Mussie and Crabtree brochures. So without further adieu, I have plenty to do as I create the items so long overdue - especially for you. j

Important News!! As well as the new Tussie Mussie - work on the third edition of the three main brochures will commence at the end of April 2008. All bridal dolls and costumed dolls will be transferred to the new Fantasy and Fairytale brochures together with many brand new designs. The Bridal Suite will then have room for more accessories than you ever dreamed of. Willow Creek Mill will have pages and pages of my new ‘Artist Palette’ trims and all the new and current silks will be contained in the new Tussie Mussie together with real samples. The Main brochure will include exciting new items from Bespaq and we will be stocking a beautiful range of Brodnax wallpapers and matching fabrics. Now you know why we needed the new printer - just need to work out how to use it. It is really fast but has such a short memory. More News! For those of you who visit the cottage quite regularly, you may have noticed that Cinderella did not make her appearance as anticipated earlier in the year. We had a little difficulty sourcing carriage wheels for her coach and she just couldn’t walk such a long way herself. This has now been sourced and the wheels are being hand crafted for us. She will appear later in the year and I promise you this - it is going to be a spectacular sight.

La Belle Epoch Another bride to view in my showcase of Period Bridal Gowns: Belle A romantic gown from the Belle Epoch Era. I must apologise as she has been a little too long in the workroom due to my grueling timetable. As a special treat you can find out how to make her in Dolls’ House and Miniature Scene April Issue 166 in a free supplement with the magazine which goes on sale at the end of February 2008. Can’t keep this one to myself. Hope you like her. Available in the current issues: Georgian Style starting with four designs of pannier petticoats.

Even more items ! I was delighted when my favourite toiletry company in real life, granted me exclusive permission to make up miniatures using their beautiful packaging. I have added even more kits and products including some luxury lingerie and beautiful color themed coordinating slippers made especially for the cottage by Susan Lee. There are some reductions in price due to a new and better resin from USA which is taking much less time to produce with an overall improved production rate into the bargain. How great is that! Don’t miss out - see Perfumes and Flora Lots more images to come. Look below at the beautiful colours of the bottles.
